It has been a month and a half since I have worked on my site.  Taking some time away from Promising Chord proved to be difficult yet necessary. Life can change in an instant and I’m so thankful for music because it is always there for me. I’m excited to get back into writing so be on the look out for some fun posts in the next few days.

What have I been up to?  I have gone to some unbelievable shows recently that I can consider some of the best this year.  I saw Active Child and Balam Acab mesmerize the Earl.  Thrice said farewell with a sold out show at the Masquerade.  That was one of their best performances and I’ve seen Thrice too many times to count.  It was so special being there with so many dedicated fans that were singing every single word.  St. Vincent crowd surfed during one of her newest songs “Krokodil” that left the whole crowd energized at the sold out Variety Playhouse.  Nigredo played at Jack’s Pizza.  It was interesting smelling yummy pizza being cooked while Nigredo was melting faces in the corner of the shop.  Cattle Drums carried on without their vocalist, who was sick, but still killed it at the Masquerade.
