Thrice – ‘Major/Minor’
Released: September 20, 2011

Thrice is a heavy rock outfit from California and I can proudly say they are one of my favorite bands to see perform live.  My first Thrice show was back around ’06 at a skate park and I have been a fan of everything they produce ever since.  I find great comfort in their music probably because I have been a fan for such a long time and the emotion that I get from their albums and live shows have carried through so many pivotal years of my life.  ‘Major/Minor’ enters the scene with full force and this album is sure to be one of my top favorites of 2011.  A band that has the ability to evolve yet stay true to their roots, Thrice has released yet another stellar album.  “Yellow Belly” the first single off this album sets the grungy tone for the rest of the album following it.  Distorted guitars that are heavy and lyrics that are as powerful as the crashing cymbals take me away to a dark world known as ‘Major/Minor’.  Give this album a spin and I hope it leaves as much of an impression on you as it did for me.
