Show Review- Telekinesis, Richard Parsons
March 14, 2011 – The Earl EAV
The Earl in East Atlanta hosts some of the best bands including Telekinesis and Richard Parsons.
Richard Parsons opened and he is such a great musician and delivers his lyrics beautifully. My favorite part of his set: when he unplugged his guitar, came closer to the crowd and sang with no mic. His voice is amazing and it was a moment to remember.
Telekinesis was up next and they put on a great show! They are from Seattle, Washington and were so amazed that people actually came out to see them play in Atlanta. The lead vocalist also played drums which I don’t think I’ve ever seen from another band. He also played guitar for some of their set. They had a lot of energy on stage but they also stopped periodically to take questions from the crowd. It was unexpected but it helped the people who came out to the show connect with the band. That’s doesn’t happen often at rock shows! It was a overall great night.
Telekinesis has a new record out called “12 Desperate Straight Lines” and I highly recommend it. It’s diverse and a great album from start to finish.
