Emperor X and NerdKween are playing the intimate Atlanta Music Room at Smith’s Olde Bar next Tuesday.  It’s sure to be a night filled with talented musicians.

Emperor X (Jacksonville, FL) is a project by Chad Matheny; with a multitude of years touring and having 5+ albums under their belt I have only recently heard about them from the release of ‘Western Teleport’ in early October.  ‘Western Teleport’ is armed with upbeat tunes but also tunes with melancholic moments. This album has received rave reviews and my first impression was that I couldn’t stop listening.  I can just imagine how special seeing Emperor X live will be.

Atlanta should be familiar with the opener NerdKween who is from this great city.  Expect to see her to create dreamy experimental pop tunes filled a plethora sounds.  NerdKween was also voted for Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta 2011: Local Experimental Music Act.
