Bright Eyes ‘The Peoples Key’
Bright Eyes front man Conor Oberst has been blessing this world with incredible music for years. This is a true musician that creates such real music that I can relate to and also be taken in by the story their songs paint. Visit the link to the Saddle Creek Records store front and receive two free downloads off the album. “Shell Games” is one of the free downloads and it is definitely a different direction from previous Bright Eyes albums but it is refreshing and I can’t wait to hear more. The People’s Key releases on February 15th through Saddle Creek Records. I have to add that I am seeing them on March 4th in Atlanta and I am so excited!
The Tree Ring ‘Generous Shadows’
The Tree Ring from California releases their album Generous Shadows on February 15th through their website treeringmusic.com. I can’t take credit for finding out about this band but I am already hooked. A friend sent me the link to one of their videos on Vimeo and I have to say that I was very impressed with not only their sound but the creativity of the video. Feel free to check out the video below. There is something so passionate and honest about their vocals and instrumentals that completely moves me. The Tree Ring has released a preview of a track from their new album and I have it streaming below. I really hope they decide to tour on the east coast because that is one show I would not want to miss.
